NIL

Good question. Hopefully yes but privately and on the grounds of the inability to meet the commitments given many are local to CNY.

Otherwise it would be pretty awful if he is paying someone 7 figures whose going to UNC

Yes you nailed it. As I remember, I read an article that Weitsman talked about how any NIL requirements with him would be very difficult to fulfill if you were not local to the area.

Found this on the Providence Friars basketball roster site.Thought it was a good idea and very transparent with direct links for purchase of each player’s NIL opportunities along with prices. I’m not that into all the details of this NIL stuff but this seems so direct, easy to find, and simple to use. Agree? Disagree?

I like it.

I thought this was interesting.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to keep guys from jumping to the NFL (Bergeron, Jones, G. Williams, and Tucker*) or leaving to other schools (Carter and Chestnut)?

* Running backs are a little different because of the mileage on their bodies impacts their effectiveness.

I don’t see how $100k split amongst 4 players would keep them from going and getting an NFL contract.

I’d like to know why this seems exclusive to RBs? Don’t linemen take a big pounding every play? Offenses are becoming more pass heavy anyway.

Brilliant by Providence.

Linemen are still worth using a 1st round pick on. HBs have been seen as a dime a dozen position for a while now unless they're that good.

This may sound stupid but put an NIL donation jar at every turnstile and ask concession patrons if they want to round up to contribute to the NIL fund.

Awful, I’m not donating when I walk into Yankee stadium or the Barclays center, College basketball can burn to the ground before I pump more money into tickets, apparel, among countless other things.
