They just mentioned during the Mets' broadcast that there's no International league any more. It was the first I'd heard of it so I looked it up. In it's place are two leagues, one a 20 team league called Triple A East and one a 10 team league called Triple A West:
"The 2021 schedule originally included a three-day All-Star break from July 12–14, but the break was removed after the rescheduling of Opening Day. It does not include a scheduled postseason for championship playoffs or the Triple-A National Championship Game."
Now that they don't so 40 man rosters in September any more, why not let the minors have their playoffs. Put the 30 teams into three leagues with two 5 team divisions and take the divisional winners plus two at large teams and have an 8 team playoff?
