Love Donnie, but he has cost us the last two games.

Against BC he missed what would have been the game sealing FT.

Against VT, he simply had a terrible all around game and then failed to get the key rebound that would have given us a chance to tie or win (with a trey).

Regretfully, it should also be noted he had 11 TOs combined in those two games.

That being said, I am optimistic that he will be the positive difference maker in several games before this season is done.

very jekyll and hyde type performances lately

either cant miss or cant make

and the small things like boxing out ...making good passing etc have been missing as well

perhaps he is trying to do too much and putting too much weight on his shoulders

“Cost us” is a bit much. Sure he has missed a late ft in the BC game and didn’t get a rebound in the VT game but each of those singular things doesn’t cost a team a game. Could he have played better, absolutely. Same is true with every other player and coach on the team. Without Donnie those games aren’t even close.

Needs to substantially improve lower body strength.

This.

Got "physicalled" LN and couldn't cope.

That new Strength & Conditioning hire hands are prolly tied until a new coach and philosophy/culture is implemented that makes strength/conditioning/diet and actual MEASURED GAINS a priority.

I couldn’t believe Autry mentioned not getting the rebound at the end as like a major mishap in the game. How about the other 39min and change? We were praying for a missed ft and a lucky 3? Give me a break

One could argue not capturing the rebound summed up the game and maybe the season. It showed the lack of discipline, the lack of desire, the lack of focus, the lack of leadership, the lack of basketball IQ and the lack of communication.

It was on the coaches as much as the four players. Of course that rebound would come up at the post game presser. Even VT expected Cuse to get the ball, as their coaches were loudly calling for their players to foul Syracuse once they took possession.
