No votes for Syracuse in either of the latest polls

Are we a top 25 team right now? We were life and death to beat an fcs team, a top 25 team doesn't do that. A good showing against Maryland and perhaps we get some votes.

Hey...the #1 team in the nation didn't exactly blow away The Citadel...the game was under control, but FSU didn't really destroy them like they probably should have. FSU did not look like a #1 in that game and am concerned for them going into the Clemson game this Sat...

So far the only team that has really impressed me has been Texas A&M...other than that I am still waiting for those typical two or three teams to separate themselves, just not sure who they are yet...

They have a lot of fans. Votes are a phallic thing when it comes to college football. How big is your fan base?

I really don't like this thread.

I think we're closer to the team that played CMU than to the team that played Nova but unless we beat MD and ND we shouldn't be ranked.

They also beat a pretty good okla st team on a neutral field, and are the defending champs.

Truth is that these polls got pushed even further into uselessness by the playoff.

It's more a poll of national media bias and brand recognition - with a whiff of homerism.
