Noel Cleared for take off

Would Noel want to fit in to the Princeton Offense though? If he goes to Georgetown he's going to have to be the high post distributor, and from what I've heard about him, that doesn't seem like something he's going to buy into. If he comes to here (or UK), he could be featured, especially if his offensive game comes along. People can knock how we've used Fab and Rak offensively, but go back and look at film from 09-10. We probably started 80-90% of games by giving it to AO on the block and running our offense through him.
JT3: "Nerlens, your primary goal is to play in the NBA. Well, ask yourself - do you want to be the next Roy Hibbert or Greg Monroe, or do you want to be the next Mookie Watkins or Arinze Onuaku?"

Well you ca go the other way, "You've seen how well Fab's done with us and he'll be a 1st round pick next year."

I don't disagree with you, btw, just sayin', you can sell it the other way

I'm not denying that they've put out good players, recently. However, it seems like NN wants to 'get his', and I don't think Georgetown's system is conducive to that for a big. Plus, the bigs who thrive in that system stick around for a while. That's not happening in this situation.

Monroes college career was not impressive at all, he goes to the nba and hes killing it...you can say gtown prepared him or that system limited him...to each his own

Thompson could change things some for a player like Noel as well, just like we did for AO. He has his dad to talk to on how he incorporated Ewing, even though different systems, Big John didn't have a player like Ewing before either and he had a center by committee. You make a very good point though and it may depend on what little john told him they would do.

I keep hearing how Noel is a good shooter he's this he's that he can shoot fire out of arse during dunks and if he can shoot/has a solid inside game, at worst the free throw line he would work out quite well in both the SU's and GT's system.

except that (1) that chicken has not hatched yet - it remains to be seen whether Fab goes in the first round and (2) NN wants to be a one-and-done, and it took Jimmy 2 years to get Fab even to a borderline first round position (and at least another 2 years with his next McD AA center Christmas)

Fab was overweight, raw, and lacking any bball iq...he woudnt have done squat his freshman year no matter what college he went to

Took Monroe two years, Hibbert 4.

If his whole deal is based on one and done, he should go to Kentucky over Gtown who has repeated established success with that.
