Class of 2028 Nolyn Proudfoot (Corning-Painted Post)

Corning is 15-0 and is a Class AAA school, but I can't vouch on their level of competition. We will see if they advance thru the state playoffs.

He put that 50 up against the school I used to teach for. He is very solid, but the level of competition is certainly a concern. Will be interesting to watch him the next couple years.
It appears that he is part of the City Rocks program so he will get plenty of opportunity to get better. And if he really serious, he should attend prep school like a lot of City Rocks kids do. I wouldn't put this kid here thinking he will play for a high major but if he is putting up games of 42 and 50 as a sophomore then some people's eyes will be open. Always good to see upstate kids blossom. Is Southern Tier considered upstate?

Just scored 50. Only a sophomore. Putting up JG3 type numbers.

Ive watched Nolyn play since he was a 7th grader on varsity...hes good for section 4 but he is not top end D1 caliber.

Corning is 16-0 and a Class AAA school, however, they are playing schools that are mostly A/B level.

That's why it will be interesting to see if he goes the prep school route to try and improve. I think that helped Buddy Boeheim a lot.

JG3 didn't go to prep school and stayed in Glens Falls playing against Class B schools. A lot people didn't think he was going to be a high major player also, and he definitely had limitations, but he did average 15 points a game for a Clemson team that ended up ranked 14th in the country.

If Nolyn ends up going St. Bonaventure or Binghamton/LeMoyne/Niagara/Canisius there is absolutely nothing wrong with that at all and very admirable, but if he wants to get great exposure and the opportunity to really improve, playing with the City Rocks is the first step, but also playing at a prep school will give him the ability to play against top 100 players every day.

But, not a lot of high school players score 50 points in a game as a sophomore, so kudos to him.

I wouldn’t put it past this kid to end up getting high major offers. A lot of people tend to underrate the high talent in this state (sans NYC) simply because of past track records.
