Not Bad For A Kid

What does that tweet mean? Last time a Syracuse player did what?
Glad Joe had a hot run there. We needed it. But he still is on every opponents game plan to pressure. Kadary is still the best option handling the ball for us. Nothing has changed.

Both things can be true. Girard contributed greatly to the win...and struggled against the ball pressure at times...and Boeheim appropriately pulled him when it was becoming a problem.

With Kadary banged up it’s a good thing Joe came through. Ironic that Joe put up a Kadary type stat stuffing line. Kadary’s defense and steadiness with the ball were big too, as was that mid range jumper at the time. Loved the 3s as we were pouring it on.

Player or starter?
I said player and if you want to try to tell me that nobody has said that you would be wrong and I’m not going to argue about it

I’ve been happy with JB’s Joe/Kadary rotations. He’s rode Joe when he’s hot, like the second half of the State game last week, and pulled him when he’s struggled, like after the awful turnover in the backcourt last night in the second half.

Ideally Kadary would play more but it makes sense that he’s not if he’s still not 100%. You want to get the most out of his minutes.

I still think Kadary should start next season because Joe would be an awesome scoring spark plug off the bench. Hopefully he’ll accept that role if he’s told that’s what’s happening.

He’s not an ACC player in the role he currently plays for our team. He’s not an ACC point guard. he can play off ball at this level sure, but he’s not an ACC level point guard.

Yeah. Taking nothing from JG but those stat lines aren't at all alike. Does he mean: When was the last time someone filled a stat sheet? Maybe it's been 18 years but it doesn't seem likely. Odd tweet.

He is a guy who should get 20 to 25 min and share guard with buddy and q. Buddy getting a good rest helps that team. A good guard rotation in my eyes.

Reminds me of guys from that Oladipo Hoosiers team. Role playing off ball sharp shooters who could dribble too.

I won't say nobody. That's too broad a stroke. What I have seen far more commonly is with regards to being a starter. That seems to be much more reasonable discussion.

Ahh yes ...the gold standard line of 12 points,7 assists and 6 rebounds. How could anybody possibly be confused .Thanks for bringing light to this.
You're welcome.

Who people like to tell me isn’t an ACC-level player
Mcw averaged about that the entire tournament in 2013, probably over that if it wasn’t for his stinker against Michigan.

Obviously the tweet means the last time someone had at least 12 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Not that complicated folks.
It’s not what it said, and the stats aren’t even in the same order. Would it be that much work to say, the last time a Syracuse player hit those numbers...

It is a strange and confusing comparison, but I think we can all agree: Joe had a nice game there. We all know a real tournament run requires different guys to step up at different times. We will absolutely need AG to return to form at some point if we want to keep playing, for example. How magical would that be? And the conditions are ripe.

I think Q is due for a pretty big game.

AG is absolutely due and we know he can take over a game and score 25 plus when he's in the zone.

Kadary hasn't full been himself of late, hopefully he can get past his injury issues and we see his full range of hitchy, change of speed and momentum moves that he does with the ball to get in the lane.

JG3, I sense he is a player who relies on confidence more than anything and this last game was frankly huge for him to get that boost, because he's played a bit like a beaten down dog this year.

Bras has really been great the last few games. He's maybe a combo of Nichols and Damone Brown??

Edwards, I have been so impressed. He's a completely different player. Maybe he goes full Rony Seikaly and takes over this tournament?

Buddy is not going to score 30 every night, but the amount of defensive attention he will draw now is going to be over the top, really making more likely for these other players to break out.
