Sports parents are the worst, but they've always been the worst. It's just that now they have bigger megaphones to proclaim their idiocy to the world.

I have zero sympathy for any of these disgruntled parents. Should've done your homework about the state of this program. They took the money and signed up for this.

I remember at the tail end of last season being astonished Red wasn’t getting fired….it was so freaking obvious if he coached this year it would be a disaster. So I’m pretty sure a fair number of Syracuse fans knew this would be Red’s last year too.

I’m very worried we’re not going to get any decent coach to replace him, either - it’s been so long since Syracuse was relevant, I don’t think it’s anywhere near as attractive a job as a lot of our fans think. Coaching at a school with strong history but mist in an increasingly distant past, fans with lots of expectations, a school administration that’s utterly inept, less NIL resources than Big Ten and SEC schools….who wants that? I predict making an NCAA tourney will come about as often as an Elite Eight appearance did over the last 50 years going forward, we’re not ever going to be relevant nationally again.
