You never give up points especially knowing we have lost close ones to themThat’s a stretch. We were up 21-7 and had numerous opportunities to put them away.

Well, there's thousands on this board. This topic comes up every time. You go for it and don’t succeed, coach gets blamed. You don’t go for it and take the points, coach gets blamed. No way out of this until we hire a Nostradamus on the staff.

More like the PI call came back to bite us. we had the turnover margin but those 2 big penalties that kept drives going were just like turnovers and cost us 10 pts..Came back to bite us in the ass.
It would have been 24-27, and we just would have needed a FG to tie.
This thread just further proves that coaches are never right. There always something they should have did or could have did.
Agree. Even if he made the FG. 3 points in the first possession doesn’t decide who wins. There’s 50 minutes left of game time that determines the outcome of the game. Many more game swinging moments and situations. So - IF Dino hadn't called the TO to rethink kicking the FG, then Szmyt's miss from 48 would have stood.
And given that he DID miss (short!!), I had zero problem with Dino then deciding to go for it.
Beats the living snot outta punting from there.
Clemson D made a play and batted the pass down. It happens.
Doesn't make the decision incorrect.
Yeah, that's not how the space-time continuum works.Came back to bite us in the ass.

kicking it while calling a timeout then overthinking it and going for it and not getting it is some classic Babers overthinking.
Like watching his face as 25 seconds tick off the clock, down 6 and then calling the timeout.
He needs to take a vacation the last 5 seconds before the snap. He might be overthinking things. Go with your gut and live with the results.
Shouldnt u be on the Jaguars boards defending Cisco and the L??kicking it while calling a timeout then overthinking it and going for it and not getting it is some classic Babers overthinking.

Good point! If he'd kicked the field goal, we might all have webbed toes now.Yeah, that's not how the space-time continuum works.
I'm confused. Do you think the kick was short because of the timeout? It looked like Dino and Szmyt's talked it over on the sideline, then decided to go for it on 4th.I was saying to kick the FG at the time and I still stick by it. I just wanted some points and a lead (however small it was).
