Number 1000 isnt as good as Number 1 in high school and thats facts. Once they get to college that can all change but the fact is that most people improve. Not just underdogs. We have had many kids over the years out preform their HS rankings and become NFL talents. But everything always reverts to the mean. When i was in JROTC we were an average drill team. We just didnt have the talented runners or athletes like other teams did nor did we have the most talented drillers. We had some people who outperformed expectations but as a whole we finished where we belonged talent wise. Its the same situation here.
