While we understand people will vent, and it is easy to do it on a message board, things have gone a little too far. People are going way too far with the name calling of players in particular and even other posters.

These first few games have gotten bad. Several people were given short term vacations because of this blatant name calling. What will not be tolerated is saying things like player A blows, player B is a piece of sheet, player C is garbage, player D is a stupid idiot, etc.

You want to be critical of a play or player, fine, but eliminate the blatant name calling.

The same goes for the name calling of another poster. If you disagree with the content of a post, say so without making it personal. Or ignore the post or put the poster on ignore.

Most of these posts have been deleted as well as gotten people banned for some of them. It won't be tolerated folks.

Could not agree more, I was very happy when I found this site this summer because the posts and comments were very knowledgable, informative and funny. I used to only follow the SU sports thru the PS and most of the comments were horrible. I to was very frustrated with some of the plays and play calling yesterday, but these are kids, if I am not mistaken I recently read that Rob Thompson just turned 18! A win is a win, and just because it was not a crisp game does not mean we will not go to Minnesota next week and play great.

Bees,

I hand it to you. I agree wholeheartedly with your decision. I was thoroughly disgusted as I read through the game thread. Thanks for making this the place to be for true SU fans.

Thank you for this Bees. I have to admit I really had to think about how often I was going to start checking the board anymore and how much fun it was anymore after the game yesterday and I've been a lurker since the AOL days. And I think we have lost a lot of really good posters through the years for this very reason (specifically I can think of Dick in MI - although he may have other reasons he is not as regular anymore) so thank you

Bees, I assume we do not have a premium board because of all the finical issues. But, is it time for a senior board, where discussions more civil and by (IMHO) better and scripted by selected posters and civil, low posting/Lurkers. Much like the fine board, it could direct a population to (IMHO) a higher density of quality post. I have never been to the syracuse.com boards but seem to dislike what is referred as syracuse.com posts over here. Is it possible to have a more select board, all could read and certain could post.

This doesn't apply to the post about Schiano right.

Honestly, I don't know what's wrong with some people on the board when they get that worked up. Especially toward the players who are out there giving their all.

Oh and Millhouse, you're gay.

try being on the basketball chat room during this past season. A season I might add, when we went 34-3.

good lord what a cesspool that place was.

This board has been much better than Syracuse.com forums.

It seems like a different class of people over there. Every player, team, schedule, coach, & everyTHING was maligned. NOTHING was off limits...

Needed to be said and action needed to be taken. Too many people are flipping out and are out of control!

I'm having this vision of Dan Aykroyd responding "Jane, you ignorant slut..."

Bees...Been with you since the AOL days. You couldn't be more on point on this issue. No need to have a premim board if we use a little common sense and show
a little respect for our players and fellow board members. No problem what so ever giving folks a time out who forget to honor the principles that make this the only real premium board.

I specifically avoided this board until today because I knew the kind of ridiculous belly aching that I would see after only winning a game by 11 points and essentially dominating the game in all categories after the 1st quarter... glad that you said something.

I agree. Thank you very much. The season might be frustrating but we can still vent our emotions with class.

I went back to other forums just do to this type of chatter. Couldn't agree with you more, everyone has a view, whether or not you agree with it or not.

No one should be degrading themselves by blaming players for their performance. Let me add that normally "off weeks" have usually been a kind of let down but this year its kind of a relief.A little close to BB. which will bring a lot of smiles to our faces presumably.SUball
