According to Boston College's website, tickets to the game on November 21 through the school are $400 each.

Exactly...BC has only 5k tix. Cheaper to pay $400 than traveling to South Bend.

That and the fact that the BC alumni base and current parents are quite "well-heeled" as a group. It's a very expensive private school that primarily serves Catholics with money.
