Notre Dame is getting jobbed...

That wasn't a foul on BJ. Wasn't a push out of bounds against ND earlier.

I hate ND and don't care. I'm just kind of happy we are getting the good side of bad reffing for once.

BJ had never gone out of bounds either. So, who cares. Mos def not a push-off though.

It was atrocious all around tonight. But that was definitely not a push off. But it.

His feet were definitely out of bounds when he threw the ball at the ND player. Not that I care, but that should have been Notre Dame ball.

YEAHHHHHHHH ok.
Listen, I'm all for screaming when refs job us (Pitt and Nova both come to mind), but it's equal opportunity. We got the better of some of those calls down the stretch tonight. As I said, that's fine by me. It's karmic justice that it's against those insufferable d-bags from South Bend. Just thought I'd point out that sometimes the questionable calls do run both ways.

That was well after the foul call though. For what it's worth, he also bumped into the ref as he was going out, so it's hard to say if he would've gotten rid of the ball before his foot landing if the ref wasn't there.

I agree it wasn't a foul, but it might not have been a turnover either.

*** Notre Dame.

I love beating then at anything, let alone as a lame duck team when they are top ten.

Feels great

How I feel as well. I mention it only because it's nice to see us getting some iffy calls. Not because I care that ND is getting jobbed. Those leprechauns can go cry in their Lucky Charms for all I care.

We totally got the benefit.

The only other games I remember like that were the Toledo football game when they missed the field goal call even after the replay, the UConn game in 2010 and WVU in 2012 (coming off the loss to ND without Fab).

1st round vs. UNC-Asheville in 2012 SU got a huge call down the stretch.

Triche clearly got fouled on that play. The ball was out off Triche, but if the ref calls the clear foul, nobody ever mentions that play. Also, didn't the refs bungle what should have been an And 1 for Triche at the end of the first half in that game?

You're right. It would have been SU ball anyways, just not a foul.

Most egregious was a travel call on Grant at the high post in the first half. He never moved his pivot. Obokoh also got away with a lot of wild contact.

I think B.J. was pushed and it occurred before the replay started.

I also think the contrast between the continuing assault on Christmas and his fouling out on the little contact he creates is absurd. Yes, his five fouls were fouls. And at least one defender hits him the same way on 100% of our offensive possessions.

BJ got fouled on the dunk, if that is what you are referencing.

It is so frustrating that it took the refs evening things out for us to prevail. It was 2 to 1 in fouls on us and fts for them at about 14 mins to go. Then all the sudden the whistles went the other way. Given the blasphemy of the 4th and 5th calls on rak coupled with james robinsons waltz the other day i would say it is indeed justice.

MY problem is always with Christmas. The difference in what he gets called for compared to what the defense is allowed to do to him is staggering. He should basically be at the line all game if the stuff he is doing is a foul.

Yeah I don't understand how Rak isn't able to draw more fouls because the other teams is sure as hell committing them - virtually every time he receives the ball inside he is bumped, hacked or pushed.

I didn't understand the review of the 3 last night. They really need to review it at the first stoppage of play, not the next media timeout. It's one thing when it happens in the first half or early second half, but they didn't adjust the score until under 2 minutes, that could change how you approach the game e.g. does JB go to stall ball if he thinks were only up 5 instead of 6 or whatever the margin was at that point. I wonder if JB and company knew they were going to take a point of the board or if it came as a surprise when play was finally stopped at what the 1:30 mark?

Ill give you that one play...and throw about 9 times Rak was hacked with no call throughout the game. So i think things are in the irish favor as usual
