Notre Dame Post Mortem Thread...

Let’s not only focus on the final score. There’s some incredible stats from today.

We ran 80 offensive plays and gained 207 yards. That’s an astounding 2.58 yards per play!

Our defense, who was on the field for 18 minutes (so they must have been totally exhausted), gave up 396 yards on 39 plays. 10.15 yards per play!!!

This is some craaaaazy sh!!.t. I can’t wait for both coordinators to be back next season!

Mac lost to Nebraska 7-63 in Lincoln in 83. We beat #1 Nebraska 14-9 in the Dome in 84. We play ND in the Dome next year. Can history repeat?
Thought I heard chatter that game may go away

You know that 30 seconds of bliss you get right before the lights go out

Yep, when the Propofol hits I always think “ man, Michael Jackson knew what he was talking about.”

Had my final one this Spring, and have now reached the age when I never have to have one again. Won’t remotely miss the prep but will always fondly remember the few seconds of Propofol.

the afternoon hangover sucks, though.

As a person who didn’t watch the game, because what’s was the point, how on earth did we give up 70 points and less than 400 yards? That math doesn’t seem possible. M
Yikes
Multiple Pick 6s, good field position due to a non-existent offense, and a blocked punt.

Well, what's unfortunate is that the team has just collapsed. Once Rickie Collins showed that he wasn't up to it, and apparently Carney and his parents declined to take the opportunity, in order to preserve an extra year of eligibility, then we were kind of toast.

But when the poop has hit the fan with key injuries to past teams, we adapted better than we have under Fran and his crew. It feels like the coaches kind of gave up on the season with some of the decisions they've made these past few weeks. I think they could have managed all of this better.
