Nova next year

Another team I'd like to never play again. Let them and their slap-slap-slap defense rot in Atlantic 10 Deux.

I would like to play Nova alternating every year. Need to keep a Philly presance, I've always liked Jaye Wright and never really hated Nova, they play some grab and clutch some seasons but mostly they play an enjoyable style under Wright.

Gotta keep Nova and St.John's no matter what. GTown once every 5 years would be nice just so we can keep kicking their a** and remind them we'll always be superior. As far as everyone else? 'em.

Wow, give it two years and we could a better team than you guys. Good move for both sides. Nova could really use some tough non conference opponents to boost their SOS. Cuse could use the game to help keep the philly recruiting pipeline alive. That's why Pitt is still playing us next year.

I'm Confused...you say "We" when referring to Nova, your handle is HakWarrick1, and your profile pic is Ryan Achidiasfjasndf.

So, what's the deal?

I wouldn't be surprised at all. Philly is fertile recruiting for SU right now. Plus, if it's a home and home, that means that Roc gets a homecoming game his senior year.

According to Jim Boeheim, Villanova is "pretty much locked in" to visiting Syracuse this upcoming season.

Nova at home, St Johns at MSG, ACC/B10 Challenge, and Maui.

Jim Boeheim is #hardnosed.

Hakim Warrick is from Philly. Went to high school 5 minutes away from me. But i'm more of a Nova fan. Still enjoy this site though.

That's cool...you can root for Cuse in late March/early April.

BTW, I've always liked Coach Wright...classy guy.

Yep, I definitely root for Cuse in the tourney. In the future I'll have even more of an incentive to root for cuse: BJ(Went to my high school) Roberson- (Decision came down to Cuse vs. Nova, no ill will) And Tyler Ennis (Brother of Nova's PG next year).

Wright is coming off of his best coaching job imo. The team isn't too talented but has heart.

Philly and PA in general is a historic recruiting ground for us, maybe even more so than the City or NY in general, can't even imagine losing it... Must play Nova or other Philly schools on a regular basis... Wouldn't hurt to add other Big5 schools to future schedules and maybe play the road year in the Sixers building...

Good move. Nova is a good program and we have a nice history with them. Plus Philly is a key recruiting area for SU and it's important to maintain a presence there. Alternating annual home/home with Nova is beneficial for both schools.

And nothing from Georgetown...if they wait too long they can pound sand.

Threaten them we'll get George Mason to split the gate with us at Verizon.

Anyone miss UConn? I can wait.

George Washington, George Mason easily can be played at the Verizon Center and we could get a better crowd for the game than Georgetown could playing any Big East team now.

Good move. Philly is our most important recruiting area and we want to keep it that way.
Yup. I think we'll want to make appearances in NYC, Philly and B'More/DC every season in some capacity.

SU needs a stronger OOC sechedule to make up for the ACC weakness? JB alwasy said that he didn't worry about strength of scheudle because conference play took care of it. May not be the case in the ACC.

Never had the same level of vitriol for Villanova that I did for Georgetown, UConn, Pitt, et al. In fact I always kind of liked the 'Cats.

Glad to see this series continue.
