Now that GMac is HC, what does next year's squad look like?

If we paid $3-4M from rev share last year then NIL was also $3-4M. Is that correct? If we’ve already double that then we’re at $10-12M total already.

my understanding is that last year was about 4.5-5. with rev share that would have been the 8-9 number people were putting out but thinking it was nil only.

It’s weird because a bunch of folks walked back the $8-9M and suddenly they suggested it was much less than $8M. Who knows I guess.

I don’t think it matters, top number wins. If a guy comes to you and says I want 3M because you have XM and I want X%, and you don’t think he’s worth it then so be it you just don’t pay it. If someone else does, more power to them

My take is don't sweat the total number right now. See who gets reeled in from the portal. That will be just as telling in my opinion. If we shop and are buying some top shelf and just below that's enough for me to need to know. Conversely if it looks like we are buying "well drinks ", that is a tell as well.
Lastly I am not a fan of letting the agents know how deep the well is, keep them a bit in the dark.

The Daily Orange reported the spend on last year's team was 7.9 mi. So just assume the spend will be b/t 10 - 12 mil, unless the whole Siena team comes over.

This is exactly why I wrote the post I wrote yesterday. We are shooting for a lot more than 9 million but one sure way not to not get money is to talk like you have a lot and don't need it. Quite frankly, that is common sense. We will have at least 12 million next year. The year after, no idea. Money is flowing in and Gerry knows it.
