I just want to point out that we're at the level of discourse in this thread where multiple people agree that Diawara, he of 9 minutes played, will be handed the keys to the starting 5 and is more desirable to retain than Donnie Freeman, who was All-ACC honorable mention.

Seems that way. Fortunately for SU, the cream of the team will likely be in orange next season.

And from the little I've seen in his highlights, that Moesch kid looks different. Smallish but really bouncy and athletic, nice handle - has what we call "boogie" to get where he wants on the court. Also like that he's aggressive, tries to get downhill, to the cup and has the hops to finish. Saw footage of him against 5-star Duke commit Deron Rippy in NYC and he more than held his own, leading his team to the win. Moesch looks like a hidden gem-type.

Sorry, a combo of too many SU leftovers and Siena gems will not be good enough. Where are the bigs and three-point shooters I see in the tournament. Gmac best have a magic elixir in his bag of tricks or hit the portal and find a Euro or two.

Yeah unless Doty can hit 37 or higher from 3… I don’t see any world he and Kiyan both are starters if the roster is built correctly.

I’m not convinced he will run a slow tempo if he has more talent. One of the best things about going with GMac is we should be able to recruit a few players from the high end of the portal. An athletic big who can score and defend, and a couple of shooters would be a good start.

Folefac seems like a poor man's Jyare Davis. He can definitely be a depth piece -- but like Davis, not big / good enough to be a starter in the ACC. Right?

recruits- at least one overseas guy

Donnie I am not sure on but if he is willing to be coached and develop then I’d say he’s worth it. Not at all worth overpaying. George is too expensive to keep for what he is. I just don’t see him as a good fit after he underwhelmed. Betsey is too one dimensional even though he can be an elite shooter, another one I would say if the price is right and there’s belief from the staff you swap him in vs another portal shooter.

I’d be more than fine if all we get is 3 Siena guys Kingz, Kiyan , Sadiq and the rest portal or even if it’s just Kiyan , Siena and then all portal and possibly euros.

2-3X Cuse returnees- Kiyan, Kingz, Sadiq, two redshirts-->Kiyan and Sadiq need to earn their mins and the new staff needs to nip their bad habits. Sadiq same with Donnie and George may not worth a bidding war for.
4-5X Portal - top PG, top C , another shooter, another backup big, one overseas guy

Way too many people posting above are putting together 6 million dollar rosters. Need to think bigger. We should have 10 mil at least.

Cuse was so underwhelming this past season. We had so many holes plus the culture was really bad. Gerry needs to blow everything up. That includes Kingz and White if we can find better talent.

I want to see 13 or 15 guys that play real defense, that dive for lose balls, that can give 40 hard minutes if asked to and are more than one dimensional on offense.
