if people go back and watch the last couple of games there were so many plays left on the field that a more experienced QB probably makes that hopefully the next OC can make happen. even yesterday Mohoney missed several big reads and made poor throws to open guys that you need to make playing a pretty solid D.

we finished with 2 kids that shouldnt even have seen the field this year, hopefully next they both come back and we see the fruits of playing kids and what an off season can do..

we had 1 legit WR playing, lets see if a offensive minded coach can steal another one away before Feb..

Very true. We had a ton of missed receivers open on long pass plays that could have seriously changed our fortunes had we had a QB that could regularly make those throws. It really limited our options for big plays. I personally think Lester could (and may still) have figured out the OC position and done well at it at this level. I believe we would have easily gone bowling this year had Dungey been a second year QB this year.

Agreed. We dont have a true D1 QB on the roster.

Imagine what the season could have been if we had a healthy Terrel Hunt properly managing the game, even if he isn't the most accurate passer. So, in two or three game a healthy Eric Dungey comes off the bench to spark us. This starts the big debate - Hunt or Dungey? The team gets to seven wins and a second tier bowl. Dungey is primed for next year and we're all happy that Coach Shafer is pulling in a nice recruiting class.
Oh, the dreams we can dream when reality doesn't fit our view of the world. :)

If Eric not been attacked by that person in the CMU game and played in the LSU game , his development would have been much further along and he would have been ready for USF. As it was , the staff had to play a tentative game plan in the 1st half , not knowing how he was going to respond.
