They played like starters tonight with big games from Jesse and Buddy. Jesse is improving each game, his line tonight FG, 4-8, FT 7-10, 11 REB, 4 BLK and the announcer said he was a menace tonight.
The team gave a great effort and stayed with it. If they can play at this level we may win some more games.
Torrence with 4 PTS.

Playing Symir more opens up so much for this team. Joe played a great game off the ball and it created looks for Buddy. Symir is the key. Jesse was huge, a guy like Hall used to dominate against us, he played well but Jesse shut the middle down and didn’t let him get too deep. The path to our success looks simple, three guard lineup is the way to go.

Joe played great on the ball too.

I want to see more Symir: his handle, D, interior passing, and a couple of nice baskets putting pressure on rim. Surprised he wasn't in the game at the end to minimiize TO.s

After Jesse's 3rd or 4th block, you could see the fire die in Clemson's eyes. He single handily shut them down. That plus Sy out there stopped their wide open 3 pt shooting. At that point Clemson lost their fire!!!

I think when Sy came out the tempo of the Orange offense changed. Jesse was a beast.

Joe is a solid 2

Much in favor of 3 guard lineup.

Symir can push the ball.
He has a knack for getting to the hoop.
When Cole joins Buddy and Joe in the lineup...there's more opportunity to get some good looks for good shooters.
When Joe is playing his game there's another guy to distribute.
Plus there's Jesse inside.

With Symir on the floor it may even improve the defense.

Do the Orange really have anything to lose by playing 3-guards more?

I just want flexibility in the lineup. If Joe is struggling put Sy in. Buddy gunning put Sy in. Cole or Jimmy not doing it give Benny a shot. Jesse not engaged get Frank some run. If the bench comes in and struggles we revisit the starters. We have been too rigid with PT.

Because he would minimize made FTs as well.

Chef Boeheim seasoned up the stew with a good dosage of salt, starting to taste real good. A little more simering and the meat will melt in your mouth. Hopefully by noon on Saturday.

You gotta admit that Joe is a really good passer and can find open guys as well, and has been really good at finding Jessie. His biggest issue is his loose handle, struggles against pressure D and his sometimes brain dead turnovers.
