I'm all for the posting of certain...uh...flattering photos, but they seem to be posted with much greater frequency lately.

As someone who uses this board to get through the day at work, I'd appreciate if NSFW (not safe for work) tags were put on thread titles. I don't know if that is even feasible after the title has been created, but I think it would be a positive addition to this board.

SPOILER!

I know I may be an old prude but it seems rather pathetic that a sports' message board would even need to warn people of inappropriate images that can't even be accessed at work. Why isn't any of that content sequestered (people like that I thought :D) from basketball, football etc related content to it's own PG board? Seems crazy to require warnings when it's all definitely OT. Yes and get off my lawn too. ;)

Taken strictly, you are correct. But during the course of a day, or at lunch, it's nice to check in and even show a colleague an interesting post (and I really don't mean one of JarheadJim's floozies). Knowing you don't have to scroll by some potentially offensive material would help. And that includes the avatars.

You mean if someone crosses the line, people keep doing it more and more until the lowest common moral denominator is reached?!?

I'm shocked. Shocked I say!!!

not safe because now all I can think about is eating

The inability to delete threads or alter titles is disheartening.

Blame Jim. ;) He has too much time on his hands at work. His run of hotties in "The Thread" got me in trouble with the wife. :(

You just have to try to understand where we're coming from. We're guys. We're idiots and damn proud of it.

Call me what you want, but I think posting photos of "hot chicks" on a sports message forum is sophomoric at best, and pathetic at worst. It's like frat guys whipping their junk out and comparing d1ck sizes...pretty stupid.

I come here for intelligent banter about SU sports and the occasional off-topic rant, not for photos of "hot chicks." I can do that if I choose on my own time. Not everyone wants to see that stuff here. In fact, to take it a step further, I would call to ban/suspend anyone who posts something that's not appropriate re: bikini shots, etc. No need for that here.

And to provide some context, I'm 28, and am getting married in less than six months.

Well, your first problem is coming to this website for intelligent banter :)

Sports is entertainment. You have a funny screen named HakAttack...seems kind of sophomoric, doesn't it? (Hint, no, it's not - it's just funny).

We're following the recruitment of kids in 9th grade and focusing on if a 19 year old can shot a ball into a hoop. Couple that with the fact that we're a few votes away from #1 and one can only say "ennis, CJ and Cooney are great" so many times, it's inevitable that someone is going to flash a pic of someone's goods. To provide context, I'm 40+ and an occasional shot of some 22 year old that I have to google to even know who she is becomes a nice temporary distraction from idiotic demands at work; having one hour to complete four hours worth of practices, homework, showers; stepping on legos wherever I walk in the house, etc, etc.

Sorry, but that's creepy. I would hope that when I'm 40+ I'm not google-searching lingerie models who are almost 1/2 my age. And if I am, I would hope someone would point out how creepy that is.

And Hak Attack comes from my love for Hakim, and how he would attack the rim with reckless abandon. I don't see how that's sophomoric? Maybe I'm missing something.
