QB's from the city vs. QB's from Texas, Ca, Florida, Ohio, SC, Va. etc

they just dont have the amount of reps, these other states play fball 10 to 12 months out of the year, and the coaching in these states is so much better, especially at the Qb position. This is wnee Marrone got us in a pickle, in my opinion. Although he got us out of it with Z. Allen, but...

name a few great ones from NY - Boomer, Testaverde, Donnie Mac, was Neil O'donnell from LI? there are not that many... i know i am missing a few, but not a long list

i'm with you. most of the players can come from our usual territories but we need to import qbs from foreign countries such as texas

Are any of those guys still with us? I know McPherson is still alive.

I kid but the whole texas superiority in passing all happened with Briles and Leach

Everything he's doing at baylor, he did in high school. All the other coaches in texas said HOLY CRAP and copied him. Then Leach snapped him up and the holy crap continued at the college level.

The northeast high school coaches just went about their business having their qbs throw 30 times a season in the mud. What do they care what they're doing in texas?

This Texas QB superiority is new. Until the northeast catches up and copies them (7 on 7 all the time), we should go to Texas for QBs, run offenses they're comfortable with and get big uglies from whatever radius around Syracuse.

Briles has no playbook and his qbs have a million throws under their belt. Northeast football has giant playbooks and their qbs throws tens of passes before college. No wonder that Briles succeeds with whoever he drops in there and we still talk about developing qbs

Nice Tomcat - yes, MD seemed to like recruiting in NY, i played HS ball in Section I and a bunch of guys i played against went down there (one became a Buffalo Bill - Mesner was his name from Harrison, NY)

You forgot Mike West for Cardinal Mooney

So, it's just Texas? Not California, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, SC, LA, PA, OH. Just Texas? I think you may be a little too narrow in your successful college QB study.

How did Marrone get us in a pickle with NYS QBs? He started Nassib for 3 years he was here. We have QBs from PA, TX, IL, NY, NH. The QB pickle we may have been left with after Marrone is more a talent level... not what state we got a kid from. We have kids from all those states and right now, the starter is from NY.
