O say can you see...

Wow. It's Fort McHenry people. It's where all that text that is on the helmet and sleeves was supposedly written.

While they are ugly, I still think they're cool and better than their normal ones.

It's for the anniversary of the battle of baltimore.

What are they teaching kids in school nowadays?

They must skip right from Washington to Lincoln.

And the 200th year anniversary of the writing of the Star Spangled Banner...

Is that the Declaration of Independence or the Maryland Constitution?

edit...just looked closer, the helmet is the Star Spangled Banner. duhhhhhh...

First I thought the shape was a little man with a pointy head... Hi Randy.
Second I thought the NCAA had put in restrictions about things being written on the outside of Unis.. no more RU (dysfunctional) .A.M.I.L.Y or Vandy with ANCHOR DOWN. Or does this not apply to patriotic writings?

Have ya ever been to Fort McHenry? When is a fort not a fort = when it's a redoubt. Bit of a letdown.

Looks like Fort Ontario. Sucessfully defending Oswego from Harborfest for over 25 years.

They were given a waiver for this...because the NCAA has nothing better to do than review uniforms and the amount of icing on cookie cakes.

I'm surprised that they allowed it, not because of the writing, but because the NCAA hates America and our way of life.

Key, who turned out to be not a very admirable man, was actually a detainee on a British ship in the harbor. He was not in the fort.

They hate doing their job, like investigating violations, enforcing rules, ensuring athletes actually get an education, why would this be any different? It takes too much effort to enforce rules, break out the rubber stamp and get back to surfing the net. If PSU can get their bowl eligibility back early, what's a uniform violation or two? (Unless you are an SEC referee and can screw up a game in favor of the SEC, then rules are VERY important)
