Observations from the UVA game!

I watched the game on ESPN Player (ESPN3 in the UK) Live and again on ESPN today, I love the road game at Klockner its always a fast game, close to the crowd and you can hear the coaches!,It was great to see and hear so many Cuse fans!

This team is inexperienced and to only lose by two (im not counting the goal at the end) was a great effort on the road in only the 3rd regular season game of the year, yes we made mistakes and it cost us, but with the experience in the coaching staff they know that this needs to be improved! We are starting to see who fits in and who will contribute!

Lots of high to high shooting! change the plain!- Eilers & Palasek amongst others!
Maltz is the real deal, great sizer and had a great shot with time and room but needs to
take a breath on some of his inside shots, he snatches at them a little!
Work on Ground Balls required, we lost some battles yesterday!
On two occassions the refs changed their calls!
(Insert strange first name here) Stanwick didnt score whilst being guarded directly by Megill!
Great to see K-Drew back he looked a little rusty!
That ref was a walking mustache!
Lerman is ahead in the goalie race, he made some great saves early, but I get the feeling the Cuse faithful still wants to see Wardwell in action!
Great to see Pratt and Henry Score!
Lecky can go all day let him go on the shorty more!
When does Hamlin get some credit?????
We made UVA change the way they played in the first half, they had to change things to win!

I dont feel bad that we lost this game, the guys are going to improve so much by May! we have all the weapons we need to win the NC, with steady improvement and cutting out the mistakes this team can be as good as any!

Side note: how are Hopkins #2?? Petro has no class did you see the game Friday?, I have never seen language bleeped out on ESPN before!

Woody, good post. I thought we lost an opportunity here. UVA turned it over a lot. We got up early. Then, honestly, they just blew us out.

Still, I did not expect us to even be in the game. So I am happy we kept it close. Lot to work on.

Woody you are spot on with Hamlin. Kid played hard all game and was great on take always and run outs. I wish we would double more. Our guys are so big and fast. We probably can and will do that on just about every team but UVA. They have the talent to beat you somewhere else.

To be honest im not really concerned about the face off x, I know these two where highly recruited and Donahue has done a great job with face off men in the past that we where initially concerned about!

I see a nucleus of a great team that do need to gel, bring on the Jays in two weeks, ive not been convinced by their play or strength of schedule. Hopefully someone will repeat the genius prank of putting a Cuse Jersey on the Native American Statue outside the Hall of Fame again!

This team has what it takes, UVA had to go to zone to stop us! Believe!
