I would be pissed too. He worked hsrd to train and teach them kids about football. He is vested in them and i would feel the same way. How does a coach talk about doing things the godly way and the right way and then send feelers out or a bag. Its bullsh--. Them coaches should at least be honest and say we lie, cheat, and steel. They just send their boosters to do it. Its very wrong but itshow it is.

Leadership on the field too. Guys like McCord, Meeks, Allen, Diggs, Barron, Wax, etc. demonstrated "a will" this year that we havent seen in the recent past. Of course, that could go back to coaching as well.

This was the first year since ‘98 that the team didn’t have at least two losses back to back.

Won 10 games giving up 29 pts per game, that’s crazy.

Incredibly consistent on offense, only one game held under 24.

As good as the offense was, only one game over 50. 2018 - 5 games 50 or more

Highest ranked total offense that I can see. 2012 a couple yds per game but ended up 17th.

Most points per game other than 18, 98 and 97

The offense was built around a bunch of guys with NFL levels skills if not athleticism. Kudos to Nixon for building around players and execution. It’s a great watch.

Ran 1000 plays without playing uptempo, long drives and ball control but not being able to run at will. Highly unusual play and style profile, almost unique. Third in the country in plays for 10+ yds, 91st in plays over 50, only one play over 60.

Nixon maximized a team that lacks game breaking score from anywhere athletes and a pure pocket qb into an excellent offense.

Good post, The best Syracuse teams have always had strong senior leadership. The 2012, 2018, 2024 teams were loaded with them. A great group of kids on those 3 teams if you look, that all went through some rough seasons to finish their careers on a real strong note.

Perhaps because under Mora Uconn is a unique repository of overlooked talent. (It’s not).

More and more coaches are speaking out. That will be necessary even more if we’re going to get this madness stopped. Players too will have to start naming names. But they have more to lose, so I don’t see that happening until after violators have been identified, unless penalties are leveled against players for violations.

We really, really, really need it. I think if McCord can come back, he will work to get Allen back also and with them i feel our offense is set. Spend money on D side. if we do that i feel we could maybe make playoffs. If we dont then we will be 7-5 or 6-6. Coach talks about winning a championship and u have got too have a defense to do that. Just my 2 cents.

Between Duce Dan LA Pena the entire OL we do have a few guys to lead but nothing beats having a QB to lead the entire team. That is something that you cant replace. Hopefully Kyle is back if not one of the young guns is going to have to take this team over.
