Office party vs. SU-NCState game: What to do

Christmas and hoops is as natural as Thanksgiving and football. Not sure the issue here ;)

OK, I am hosting an office Christmas party at my house at the same time the SU-NC State game is on. Obviously this presents a dilemma about watching the game while everyone (30-40 maybe) are packed in my house. So, do I:

a) Forget the game and watch it later
b) Since everyone knows I'm a Cuse fan, turn it on during the party in background
c) Sneak upstairs and watch it live and come back down during timeouts and halftime
d) Blow the party and head to the sports bar to watch in peace
e) None of the above, your idea instead

Let's see...not sure what possibilities are within e). D) will probably get me divorced and in big trouble with the office gang. C) is possible, but can't push my luck too many times sneaking. B) is looking good but it's not very Christmas-y and maybe makes me look a little like Scrooge. I guess a) is the answer which I knew all along, although d) is tempting! LOL

My wife's sister is also having a Christmas party tomorrow during the game. I have not confirmed this with her but I am not going. I have been to other functions during games before and I am a different person when the Cuse is on. It's not good. It is entertaining for numbnuts who could care less about the game because I look like a jackass. I will sometimes attempt a Woody Allen in Annie Hall where he finds a bedroom in the house with a TV and become anti-social for some 1 hr and 50 minutes( I will come down and smile at people during halftime). What I cannot do is watch a game with a individual, who maybe knows 1 or 2 names on the team and mispronounces the coaches last name, spewing his completely uninformed opinions in my ear about the team and what they should be doing.
The problem with C is you are hosting the party and your wife will be more pissed than mine would be with us just attending. I wish you luck my friend
