25 Touches
16 plays that gained 4+ yards
3 Plays other plays that were in mop up time against Stony Brook
2 plays from the Wildcat inside our 15.
1 play that lost yardage.
So when lined up at RB/Slot outside of mop up duty he's touched the ball 20 times, and 16 times its went for 4+ yards.

thats amazing efficiency. Get him the ball.

It's just mind bottling that he isn't used more. Reminds me a little of that fm back we had

It's not mind boggling as Marrone explained it post game. He doesn't understand his full responsibilities for a lot of plays yet. They are slowly bringing him along and feeding him more each week. Sounded reasonable to me.

"Ashton, come into my office. I just wanted to let you know that after reviewing the game tape from USC and Stony Brook, i've decided to add to your responsibilities. First, your going to have to stand where Lemon or Stevens stand. Then, you have to turn to Ryan after the ball is snapped. Ryan will then throw you the ball, which admittedly, will come at you way too hard. Then, you catch the ball. After that, you run. I think you're up for it. Oh, and we may actually have a wr or Te come and block too."

Can't imagine it's that difficult. Then again, Marrone calls upon our punters for coffin corners repeatedly on fourth and short in the opponents half. Apparently, their failure to successfully perform this for the past four years, hasnt absolved them of that responsibility.

We don't take kindly to reasonable these days.

At 0-2 some thought this team was good enough to blow through the BE. At halftime yesterday some thought Marrone should be canned. At 1-2 some are convinced this team will struggle against every team remaining on the schedule. If only Marrone would read this board, he'd have all the answers.

Its a little bit more than that. In fact when you throw in audibles and voice signals, it's a lot more. Defensive movement after the play is called can change responsibilities if not the whole play. It's not the same as drawing a play in the dirt.

if he gets 6-10 rush attempts, and 3-5 passes thrown to him, and a few snaps in a wildcat I will be happy with that. Obv if he is hot and on a roll keep him going...

Wait. The FM back we are talking about is Damian Rhodes? Please tell me people don't think that Broyld is better than Rhodes after three games. Damian was a good player for four years
