I feel bad for the defense. They've actually played pretty well. They've had several mistakes but it's been improved. The offense has done them absolutely no favors today. I honestly can't figure out what we are trying to do offensively today. I understand trying to establish the run but we need a little creativity when it comes to running. It's the same cookie-cutter ran-pass option that we run up the gut. At some point maybe we can throw in a stretch play or even a RB screen play.

They've looked better [I agree with your post, btw] because WF is pedestrian offensively. If we could move the ball, we'd help the D out on a night where they match up reasonably well. But we aren't going to match pace if we're running two downs every possession. Need to open it up.
