totally bizarre... First I see the ref kinda congratulated Kizer on a TD (ok then) and yet totally weird calls on us all game.

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:.

That PI call makes me question things big time... Rly rly strange

Are you talking about the one on hudson? He hit the guy a half step early. Its 100% the right call

I thought he got there early too, but Brock thought he timed it perfect.

Not calling the obvious push off on Equilateral was worse. That was just mean to Hudson.

Also looked like an obvious hold on Slayton on their 2nd TD (which seems so long ago now, feels like it happened yesterday).

And the punt that obvious hit the goal line and should've been a touchback. Instead we went three and out with awful field position. That one was blatant.

I thought the game was well officiated except for a brief period when three key calls went against Syracuse.

One was the ND punt that clearly landed on the end line but was allowed to be downed at the 1 yard line.

One was an ND pass that was under thrown and probably would have been intercepted but the ND receiver went back on the ball and interfered with the SU DB, pushing him down. After the DB went down, he caught the ball and ran for a big gain.

Another was a short pass over the middle. This was later in the game, when ND was blitzing a lot and Dungey was forced to go to his escape route a lot. He made a decent pass but it wasn't caught (I think the receiver was Estime). But Brisly was hit by an ND defender a second before the ball arrived.

Three awful calls in rapid succession.

It probably wouldn't have mattered. ND was in control of the game and our offense was struggling again. But I would have loved to have seen those calls made correctly.

Agreed. That ND offensive pass interference was the one that totally blew my mind. That was obvious.

I thought the officiating in last night's Clemson-Louisville game left a lot to be desired. The Clemson DBs got away with a lot of grabbing, hooking and arm around the WR, and pulling jerseys. On one particularly egregious play, the replay showed Clemson LB Ben Boulware putting Card QB Lamar Jackson in a choke hold. It reminded me of a Pitt or Georgetown BB game (who, BTW, still suck).
