Many of these calls actually benefitted us, but wow were those officials bad. In the first half, it was like they were looking to make a call rather than officiate the game at times.

Nearly all of those illegal men downfields (when was the last time you saw multiple calls of that in a game?) were actually pretty close to the 3 or 4 yard depth, so borderline. And a lot of them were nowhere near anything having fun an impact on the play.

But the absolute worst was the running into the kicker on the punt where Riley was nowhere near the punter and got absolutely destroyed by the protection who launched him 90 degrees into the kicker. They declined so no harm no foul but wow that was terrible.

Then in the second half they inexplicably decided that they couldn’t call holding on the FSU offensive line. Just bad all around.

I actually thought the refs called an excellent game

I didnt understand the call since there are 2 refs there and how could the other guy not see the contact either?

Why did FSU decline the running into the kicker call? Isn't that an automatic first down?

Also, yeah, weird flag given that Riley was pin balled into him by the FSU blocker.

Running into kicker = 5 yards.

Roughing the kicker = 15 yards & auto first down.

Ah.

So you're saying it's kinda like when you're at the pee trough, and if you shake it twice you're good, but shake it more than that and you're playing with yourself?
