Oh boy the Boneyard is not happy

Speaking of irrelevant former r-ival-s...here are some beautiful quotes from the Georgetown bored...

"Cuse to the elite 8. Officially more depressed than ever. So sickening."

"I must say, I think we as Georgetown fans (along with a certain player who loves his twitter and a former coach) acted like clowns the last few weeks of the regular season, and this feels like the universe slapping us back down. All this nonsense about closing down whatever building, mocking tweets, and my personal favorite - making t-shirts joking about past legal offenses, while one of our former players was involved in something far worse, is all just cringe-worthy stuff."

"As for Cuse, I'm nauseous at the thought of Boeheim and that crew of criminals cutting down the nets at the VC with the Georgetown "G" silently weeping in the background. But they will have earned it. And Georgetown does look foolish for JT JR's actions and comments at the end of the game in DC, I agree with Wahoo on that front. It will also remain the perception (and reality?) that Georgetown and JTIII are chokers and will remain chokers until the team redeems itself in the tournament."

"I dont even know where to start. This is up there with worst sporting events of all time for me. It's one thing for us to choke against FGCU, but to follow that up with both Marquette and Syracuse playing in VC and dominating teams, it's just depressing, especially when you paid money to go to these games."

"Ugh. This is nauseating. I have a suite full of free booze and I think I need to leave. Can't stand being around all these Cuse fans."

"This tournament somehow keeps getting worse. God I wish we hadn't choked again. We are better than both the big East teams that are romping tonight, and no one will ever know."

"It's infuriating to know that every year there are teams that we are better than doing well in the tournament, while we crap the bed."

"I hate the NCAA tournament."

"i know MCI and some others will hate me for saying this, but i will gladly trade the two wins we had over cuse in the regular season for elite 8 instead of bouncing out in the first round."

"They have made up for the losses to us, and them some. I'd have gladly lost 3 times to them if it meant we'd still be playing in this tourney, instead of being its laughingstock."

"marquette and syracuse in the elite eight. louisville still alive. This time of the year just makes me sick."

:)

Nice. Give this dude some credit. The first step in solving a problem is finally admitting that you have one. I hope Hoya-land comes to grips with the collective bad karma they have inflicted on the world of NCAA basketball, and the delusions under which they operate.

How poetic,... the georgetown "g" sliently weeping while we cut down the nets- what a great way to kiss the eastern region "goodbye"
get over yourselves, by the way, its 11:21,..AND GEORGETOWN STILL SUCKS!!

Their tears taste delicious.

It's a good thing what SU does in trying to focus and motivate these nice little programs like Georgetown and UConn to achieve and look beyond their current scope of expectations in their new conferences.

For people like myself who felt rather badly about their their fate and the dissolution of the Big East ending some rivalries, reading their posts is a very quick cure.

Great thread. Keep them coming.

Not to much from the other usual suspects, gruding respect over at the RU board and Providence is still hoping they can actually make a tourney game.

I am sure Kevin Ollie and his merry men would be in the elite 8 right now if not for that darn NCAA.

Very entertaining thread. Interesting to learn that our guards do blatant handchecking and hacking just like Pitt and Marq, UConn beat us twice, and we just take turns forcing up shots. My favorite part was the complaint that the refs were handing us the game, to which someone was kind enough to note that IU had shot 16 FTs to our 6! Compared to the OhioSt game last season that is favoring us.

What a contrast to the Louisville board. I checked them out yesterday hours before our game and there was a lot of positive support for SU. They genuinely have respect for our program and I'd say 85% of the comments wanted and believed that we would beat IU. We have a nice rivalry building with UL and they have an intelligent fan base without all the jealousy exhibited by the UConn fans.

WAIT WAIT WAIT !!!!!!! LET'S NOT GET AHEAD OF OURSELVES!!!
Careful guys and gals. You might have to make a donation to get ticket to the next game......

O' wait, this is the elite 8 we're there, the court in DC is there, where're the Hoya's.... Must be running late in the locker room? We go where we want... well until our wives and gf's decide to eat our heads. Swarm away good and faithful orange people!!!

That was fun. My favorite:

I think our list of teams to root against has gotten too long, to the point where it's increasingly tougher to prevent at least one of them from winning it all (or getting far in the tourney) in any given year.

Funny, because it's true!
Anybody watch Justified?

Raylan Givens: "You ever hear the saying "you run into an a-hole in the morning, you ran into an a-hole; you run into all day, you're the a-hole.""
