And given that the aberrant behavior resulted in children being sexually abused, the penalties certainly fit the crime--and frankly may not have gone far enough. Some might say that the NCAA has a long fuse when it comes to powerhouse programs, but its attached to a pretty big bomb. And PedSt lit the fuse.
