Dino is trying to succeed with a finesse style offense and defense.
On offense, it’s about an uptempo offense (although it’s not). The linemen aren’t built to run block and aren’t good at holding long pass blocks.
On defense, we’re built to rush the passer and defend the pass. We got beat badly there in Dino’s first two years. We’re not built to stop the run. Our DL is undersized. Our LBs are average.
Teams that can run the ball will give us tremendous problems. Florida State and BC are good examples. We can hang with teams that are average in the run game (NC State and Pitt).
