1. Probably the worst meathead coaching display since the Grob era. What were you thinking Babers? And, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

2. The OL is marginally better than last year...maybe.

3. The DL got no pressure on WMU’s QB and got pushed around. No NFL prospects there that I can see.

4. Bradshaw has no business being on the field.

5. Custis looked all-world. No other WR can catch a pass. Inexplicable.

6. Dungey is unreal. Hope he doesn’t get hurt because there is no backup ready for D1 action.

7. Those who think Pierce is an NFL TE are kidding themselves.

Your title implies that fans should look at this game more realistically, and then you come with ridiculous hyperbole like that? Good lord. This forum after a game where we nearly tripled the spread has been unreal.

The largest priority, and the one least likely to happen (sadly, imo), is keeping Dungey healthy.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhahahahahahahahahaha

Thread title was written before the game. Content was filled in later. Something tells me when it was 34-7 and DeVito came in you were licking your chops.

Right. The title of his post made zero sense. He’s just doing his thing.

OL marginally better?
You don’t watch games obviously.
We couldn’t convert short yardage situations last year. We did it numerous times yesterday.
The OL got push. There was little pressure on the QBs yesterday.

Dumber than lining up for a 49 yard FG and faking punting in the last game of the season when you have nothing to lose.

GTFOH with this stuff.

Yeah, people have been pretty spot on tonight with the good/bad stuff. Not a lot of orange colored glasses, to be honest
I still see DeVito try was ok for the first 2 series. After that Babers had to see what all of us saw. Put Dungey back in and put game away. Babers waited way too long and in Tommy’s defense we went completely vanilla. With all the blitzing with Tommy in there, what about a screen to slow me down a bit. Hello.

It is always GOOD when you win your opener and on the road too......!!!

1. Many have commented about this, even the local beat writer. I just happened to be the first. Put Devito in with 2 minutes to go in the first half? Sure, he can't do much damage in 2 minutes. But, start the 3rd quarter with him? NO. You wait till the 4th quarter when the game is out of hand and there is too little time for the opponent to mount a comeback. Babers turned a laugher into a near nail-biter with that move. Simply put, it was a really bad decision that I'm sure he won't repeat.

2. Rushing yardage for RBs not named Dungey or Devito: 122 yards on 40 attempts = 3.05 yards per carry. That kind of OL run blocking won't cut it in the ACC. Need to improve.

3. The DL managed one sack and was part of a defense that was gashed for 620 yards, 246 of which came on the ground. That kind of DL play won't cut it in the ACC. Need to improve.

4. If you didn't see WMU's WRs blowing by Bradshaw like he was standing still, then you weren't watching the game. Opponents will pick on Bradshaw.

5. Custis was great. But, if no one else emerges, opponents will double and triple team him. No Custis? No passing game unless someone emerges.

6. Those clamoring for Devito had a dose of reality. Work him in as circumstances allow (I would hope the Wagner game provides an opportunity.)

7. Pierce is a mystery. Looks like he has all the tools. But, 2 catches for 19 yards and a fumble won't get you drafted.
