OK, so I understand about coaching changes..but Pitt??

Hasn't our fellow new ACC member just gone through massive coaching upheaval?
Yet one service has them #33 another #22. I was surprised.
Is this just PA >>> NY as a recruiting ground?

Yet we beat them this year. In addition, they have serious defections the year that wanna was fired. Pitt has been recruiting well 7-8 years doesn't really show up on the field all that much

I could be wrong but the Ped St. thing hasn't helped them significantly or at all. They have always had pretty - really good recruiting classes rankings but it never seems to show up on the field.

I'd think the Ped St thing helped rutgers and Maryland - haven't looked at either class, but PSU has always recruited NJ and MD very well.

You are right on - Pitt's recent recruiting has always shown to be better on paper than on the field. Whether that falls on coaching, or whether it helps prove the notion that some have that the star rating system is BS many times I do not know.
