The SSDM's are awful but agreed the scheme and staff make zero adjustments until its to late. Would be nice to here Desko take some responsibility for a change but I doubt that will happen.

There are a number of issues on defense

apart from the sheer physical match ups at SSDM in speed and size, the communication on defending picks is brutal to watch.

Duke & Hopkins were able to get a switch on the 2-man game anytime they wanted

Stick chasing instead of bodying up and maintaining position

and simply taking a bad approach allowing dodger to get to their strong side.

Unfortunately at the moment it look like Cuse are creating a lot of offense for opponents rather than just play solid defense and make yourself difficult to beat.

watching players run through the middle untouched and score is worrying

even with all that Cuse have still only lost two OT games on the road. It won't get any easier next week vs Notre Dame

I would agree that a lot of this especially with the SSDM's, is fundamentals. Taking bad angles, using the stick instead of the body, confusion on the slide etc. Why is this occurring ? 35 needs to sit.
