OK, Which Recruits Contribute Immediately?

Thought Ellison screamed FS. Small to be a CB, but aggressive as can be!

Clark will be in the rotation.

If Blair makes it, him too.

Ellison will have a shot at nickel packages.

I'd say Blair and Clark are the best bets simply because of two things:

1) They're both physically ready
2) There's more opportunity there than, say, LB, which has a logjam, and that's the only reason I'm not putting Shy Cullen in the mix for early PT

If Steven reaches his goals at this year's power lifting championship, he'll be ready. Shooting for a 430 bench, a 565+ squat, and a 335 clean.

Yeah with those numbers I imagine he can do something of this ilk to a d-2 school OL.

Now those are impressive numbers!! He's a beast and can def do it!!

In order. Blair if he makes it, Trey, Stickland, Clark. I believe that both LB's will play on specials and the two deep and i also see a couple of the DE's contributing on specials as well.

Lineman are the best candidates for RS years in general with QBs. Not saying this is the case this year, but, most of the time skill position players see time on ST's.

Oh what do you know? You act like you are a coach or something ... :)

I think Pickard has a chance to get in the rotation. I also see Blair, Trey and Strickland. I'm thinking all five OL redshirt.

Agreed...I think we'll see a frosh DE or two on the 2-deep when we break camp. Barring position changes, there are only 4 players available for the rotation.

I the DE position will be better than last year with Thompson and Johnson (with Simmons and Slayton) playing there full-time but we need numbers.

I think the toughest player to replace will be Reddish. We'll definitely need help on the back end.

Someone we don't expect who will come in attitudinally prepared to work hard, stay focused and whose body is ready for D1 contact. Stay tuned until August.

The further you are away from the ball at the snap the quicker you can play college football as a true freshman.

Thus the WR/RB/DBs can play right away. The DL and OL men should RS.

Henderson would probably play special teams. No one is talking about ealey. He looks physically ready.

Hofrichter.
That's what I thought as well, but Dixon has another year, and Murphy kicked quite well a year ago. Perhaps he holds the kicking spot allowing the Hof to redshirt a year.

My guess is Blair if he qualifies will play for sure and maybe even start. Frederick will also get some time weather Blair makes it or not as safety numbers are critical. Strickland will play and may even start by mid season as he will be special. He also get to return some kicks and Fredericks will probably get some play as a returner and on other specials units. Clark and Pickard will both be in the rotation and I would guess Ealey plays specials. I think Cullen plays specials and gets some time at LB playing in a sub role. Elisson sees time as back-up CB. The OL all redshirt but Deurig has a chance to play at Center. Not sure if he will be completely ready as a true frosh though. Hofrichter plays.
