Obviously, Dunkelberger at TE. Otherwise, my guess is Blair or Fredrick at Safety, Ellison at CB. Long shots would be Pickard at DE and Clark at DT.
I'd say Blair and Clark are the best bets simply because of two things:
1) They're both physically ready
2) There's more opportunity there than, say, LB, which has a logjam, and that's the only reason I'm not putting Shy Cullen in the mix for early PT
If Steven reaches his goals at this year's power lifting championship, he'll be ready. Shooting for a 430 bench, a 565+ squat, and a 335 clean.
Now those are impressive numbers!! He's a beast and can def do it!!If Steven reaches his goals at this year's power lifting championship, he'll be ready. Shooting for a 430 bench, a 565+ squat, and a 335 clean.
Lineman are the best candidates for RS years in general with QBs. Not saying this is the case this year, but, most of the time skill position players see time on ST's.
Agreed...I think we'll see a frosh DE or two on the 2-deep when we break camp. Barring position changes, there are only 4 players available for the rotation.I think Pickard has a chance to get in the rotation. I also see Blair, Trey and Strickland. I'm thinking all five OL redshirt.
You'd have to think Cullen plays ST at least right? I want to see him unleashed on kick coverages.
Blair and Strickland
That's what I thought as well, but Dixon has another year, and Murphy kicked quite well a year ago. Perhaps he holds the kicking spot allowing the Hof to redshirt a year.Hofrichter.
