They're playing a game on the road on an emotional day, in which two coaches at the school died. As bad a day as it was as a Syracuse fan, Oklahoma State had it 1000X worse.

Really looking forward to the LSU-Bama rematch, first team to kick a field goal wins. The only positive to that unwatchable mess is it'll shut up the fans here that think we need to score 49 points a game to win...at least for a day or two.

Defense will win you championships and those two schools have the two best right now. I bet T. Richardson is licking his chops waiting for another chance against the Tigers.

As a longtime Sooner fan, as well, I think it's great. OSU's defense is bad and they were exposed. Their offense looked tired as well. Once it went to OT I figured OSU would win, though this is too great!

Since none of the teams have the name Syracuse on the front of the jersey, I don't care who plays, but was hoping something like Okie St - Oregon in a 55-50 shootout.

Would have been great. Houston getting the nod would be crazy in that position. Say LSU wins SEC Champ game, Arizona State beats Oregon in the Pac12 champ game. Oklahoma loses to OSU. Would be cool to see Houston come in and win. Would take so much, though.

Man Boise St. blew it. Things have fallen the way they needed them to and they lose to TCU last weekend. I would have loved to see them play LSU in the Championship game.

Not to sound like an insensitive , but I highly doubt the football players knew those coaches well enough to care that much. Football players don't hang with the Women's BBall coach.

Do they hang with some of the women's basketball players? Probably. You don't have to know people directly to have their deaths effect you profoundly, and in this case knowing other athlete's that this effected would be a trigger.

Syracuse has some experience with this, you didn't need to know the students killed on Pan Am flight 103 to be emotionally upset about it.

Don't know but the coaches may have been effected and they made the calls for the game. Some coaches offices are right next to each other and who knows how close they were, I understand your point but I really don't think it's that black and white.

Oregon had their shot with LSU and lost. Alabama had their shot at home and lost. Personally I think it should be the Big 12 winner if they have only 1 loss.

I think it would be literally impossible for Houston to get the nod. Stanford/Va Tech/Clemson/Arkansas would all probably be ahead in the pecking order. That said, I really hope they get into a BCS game and play a big-name school.
