Maybe I am just missing it, but why isn't there more chatter about Oklahoma State being in the field with a high seed. They were sanctioned by the NCAA for severe violations including a post season ban this year. They appealed the sanctions and because the Appeals committee has not issued a ruling yet, they are allowed to play? Oh, and appeal was issued on JUNE 5, 2020! Appeals committee has been too busy to issue a ruling in more than NINE MONTHS??!!

If I were a cynical kind of guy I would wonder if having the presumptive top NBA draft choice who will certainy draw eyeballs and prop up TV ratings might have something to do with it.

When Cunningham leaves, and the Cowboys go 16-15 next year, then the committee upholds the ban and enforces it for 2022, I'm sure the team left out of this year's tournament will applaud the just result. Insane.

its been kinda swept under the rug.. it only became a bigger deal because they played really well.. Imagine if they win it in and lose the appeal in a yr they should have never been playing..

Kansas did the same thing with Danny Manning’s dad. Danny Manning was going to UNC and then Larry Brown hired Danny Manning’s dad and he went to Kansas.
It was money well spent for 4 years and got them a title, NCAA probation and a 1 year tournament ban.

Ok State has been one of the most fun and dangerous teams over the past month. They beat WVA without Cunningham.

Seems like we were the only program dumb enough to accept our punishment without trying to really fight back. Maybe we were unlucky based on timing, since 3-4 years later, I doubt the penalty is as severe. But I don’t recall a severe pushback to the outrageous punishments for a bunch of minor infractions. It was BS and we should’ve come out guns a blazing.

We're not a state school with a Governor and the financial resources of a state behind us. If we fought in court the costs would be borne by the University rather than the State House.

The penalty was so over the top that it should’ve been an all out war against the NCAA. The appeal was standard procedure and we did get it knocked down slightly. Wish some of these major cheaters had done their deed (errr got caught) earlier.
