Im not impressed with a kid commiting when we were his only P4 offer. CFB is 80% recruiting and yes the staff can identify talent but this gives me flashbacks to Dino.

I guess it’s just strange to me that it was the kid’s commitment post you had a problem with and not the offer post. To each his own, I suppose .

I do think there is a middle ground between liking and not liking a recruiting pickup. But the option is there to not like the post for a reason.

He was a Camp Commit. The Coaches got to see him preform up close. I'll take their evals over one from Brian (Rutgers) Dohn any day.

Outside of the elite HS prospects for OL it's really a crapshoot.

The raw tools are height, flexibility, and agility. If you have those traits and take coaching, you can become a starter at the P4 level.
