Or...Perfect timing. Get them on the same page vs a cupcake. We have to have the Liberty game.
How is Vettorello playing tackle a good thing?
well if you have a game to experiment with Servais/Vet switch this is it. DDavis should be a huge upgrade. He was even briefly last year. The question is does Vet go to LT or RT?
Has to be RT. Bergeron has played well on the left side
That's a question? Please. The question is does Vettorello go to RT or the bench.well if you have a game to experiment with Servais/Vet switch this is it. DDavis should be a huge upgrade. He was even briefly last year. The question is does Vet go to LT or RT?
weren't we complaining that servais was getting blown up at center last year? Are they trying to put him back there again?
Not to badmouth Vet, but here's the issue in my mind: I get why the coaches love him, because he's versatile and a pretty good athlete.
Problem is, he's not big and strong enough to anchor inside as one of the interior OL positions, and he isn't a good enough pass blocker to play OT.
He's like a swiss army knife who can play all five positions [on paper], but not play any of them well enough. I was hoping that as he progressed through his career, he'd get bigger / strong enough to handle the rigors of playing inside, but it doesn't look like that's the case. Of the 5, he seems to be the weak link.
He will not. Probably Bradford. How is Vettorello playing tackle a good thing?
This just makes me mad all over again.I recall an article in 2019 where Cavanaugh had been pushing to swap Vet and Servais, (move Vet to center and Servais to tackle), but Dino had vetoed it until finally giving in the last 3 games.

yup and blow ups in run plays most of the time cost you less than bad pass blockingTisdale is far weaker especially pass blocking. He’s allowed each of our sacks, the most QB pressures and the most QB hurry’s. He’s graded as one of the worst OL in the country for pass blocking. On a scale of 0-100 how do you grade an 8? So you look at run blocking and he graded better than Vet but barely.
