Looks like a smart move by this young man.

Good TE at a high school level that is high for CT.

But saw where his future was.

Good athlete for his size, but the level of competition is poor. Looked like everyone he blocked was 180lb or less. Bullied tiny guys. Physically he has fairly narrow shoulders. Would be skeptical of his upper body strength. Looks like a year at Avon plus at least two here before he is close to being ready. Also we have rarely had success with the TE to OT switch. Worth taking a chance on his athleticism for his size, with the new scholarship limits though.
