Class of 2020 OL David Ndukwe (GA) Transfering from Houston to Syracuse (4/3/26)

Interesting on Cruz at Center. Didn’t know he was staying there with the others available. We have lot of options there with Hawn and Stewart.

I felt like Stewart could be one of the better players for us for the future, but if Hawn is the future there, does hat means he would play more OG?

I assume the other starter at OG would be Pringle then over Rice as he played quite a bit more than Rice in 2025 and even got a start.
Yea that’s right. I couldn’t remember earlier but knew it was the one who played more.

They think cruz could be a very good C and a great bridge to Hawn manning the positioning for three full years. He js definitely next man up there.

Yeah from what you have said, I was thinking Hawn would be the better of the two but was thinking if we wanted both on the field, Stewart may be there and Hawn playing another spot as it seems like he can play anywhere. But I guess we can assume Hawn is the future at C, and then If Stewsrt develops well he could start at an OG spot and then also be the backup C.

It’s hard projecting who’s going to be good if the kids haven’t played yet. Remember everyone penciling in that big NYC OT. I’ve heard good things about Hawn, so feel better there. Pringle and Rice were both terrible last year. Pringle got away with robbery w/ his NIL deal. I like this addition, but if we’re being honest this penciled in OL has the upside of being at best mid. This addition helps, but I’m still pretty concerned about it.

Pringle seemed to have a large brace on his knee last season that greatly limited his mobility and he definitely gained some bad weight. He looks like a completely different player, physically(in videos/pictures) than the guy we saw last year.
All the offensive lineman were prophylactic knee braces.

I’m happy they have a legit OL coach now. Won’t make them great but I think they will be ok.

I think with a new Oline coach they will be really improved. Fran’s been building depth for 3 years. Size is noticeably different from Babers. Even the new DC commented how big the Oline are. People are underselling the Oline. I think once the season starts fans are going to be really happy with the starters and depth. With an improved line and run game and a healthy Steve D will not be able to pin their ears back.

Does anyone know anything about a timeline for Ndukwe?

Is on campus?
Is he back healthy or still recovering?
Lifting weights?

I feel like him being on campus is the most important to get into the rhythm of how it’s done around here.

Pringle and Rice were only skilled at matador defense last year!

I’ve said this a thousand times, we need to get them down hill blocking. Fire off the ball and move people. Last years zone blocking sucked. Washington is a road grader. Get him moving people. If he is going to lb that guy is not gonna see rb with that big dude in front of him. He blocks out the sun. U tire out the defense when u block that way. Pressure pressure pressure

His film is very impressive. If I could wave a magi wand and emphasize recruiting just one state harder, well, let’s not kid ourselves, it would be New York. But if the goal was to make the biggest impact on SU football, I think it would be Georgia. There is a ton of talent here and it seems a little less recruited than Florida.

Yup, recruit a bunch of OL with NFL size and then hire an NFL coach to develop them, and only good things can happen. Fill in with transfers as needed, but the group of guys that aren't even 20 years old yet, but 6'6 or taller and 330lb or heavier is super impressive. The coaches have so much to work with.

This isn't rocketship surgery, they are going to look good getting off the bus. (Coach P anyone?)

I realized I just liked this post from 2019 but this is probably even more true now that we have Fran Brown. You would have to think with him the fold, recruits from Georgia would feel more positively about SU now with him at the helm as they have some positive familiarity with him because of his years spent at UGA. He has a nice history there and a good understanding of that state.
