Class of 2027 OL James Cocozzo (NY) Offered

Plays for small high school (Stillwater) in Section 2. His father Joe played for a neighboring small high school (Mechanicville), then started at guard for three years at Michigan, then started at guard for the Chargers in 1994 when they lost in the Super Bowl to the Niners. Bloodlines?

His father also played at a small high school in Upstate New York. I'm sure his offer list wasn't impressive either (pre internet explosion). Michigan liked him and he went there and started at OG for three years. Then started in a super bowl for the Chargers. Because of HS competition, this kid wouldn't be offered without being seen in camps. Fran did that. I'll trust Fran on this one!

Also wouldn’t have had Johnston at fullback in 90’s either. Small nys town. U take chance on these kids. Forget who they play and see what they do physically and mentally. As u said great bloodlines so technique should be spot on.

His father helps coach his HS team so he likely has learned technique.

Nice. We want to get OL with good offers. He has offers from Syracuse, VT, Maryland, Rutgers, UConn and UMass per 247.

So, 1 good offer (from Cuse). ;)

Oh I get you. But also maybe VT now that they have Franklin. Not that Franklin is a good coach nor somebody he should want to play for. But I assume he is offering and will get talented kids.
