This kind of thing is what keeps me watching college sports. Many of the kids that come to play football or basketball are the first people in their family to go to college.

Forgetting about their NFL prospects, the degree and the NIL money can change their entire family's lives even if they never sniff an NFL practice squad.

Sports matter.
