I saw he made a tweet about always being a brother that referenced CBA amd didn’t understand it. Good to know the rest of the story….

"Aside from being born in Syracuse and still having extended family that lives there, his mother is a graduate of the law school, his father and grandparents own business there, and his very first football game was at the Carrier Dome."

2026 offensive lineman Steven Pickard Jr. committed to Syracuse on Saturday, he announced on social media.

The Syracuse native, who plays at Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy, previously visited SU in September and November for games against Holy Cross and Miami, and returned to the Dome to watch the basketball team play Pitt on Saturday.

"Coach (Fran) Brown’s leadership," Pickard said to The Juice Online about his commitment. "Cuse has always been home at heart."

Aside from being born in Syracuse and still having extended family that lives there, his mother is a graduate of the law school, his father and grandparents own business there, and his very first football game was at the Carrier Dome.

As for IMG Academy, they finished the season 7-2, and the top rated program in Florida.

"I’m blessed with size and strength and I use that to my advantage," Pickard said in a previous interview. "At the same time I am constantly working on speed, agility and technique to become better player."

Does anybody where exactly that 34" arm length is measuring from?

It definitely isn't dress shirt size, which is from center of your back, to shoulder to wrist... A 34" shirt size would be tiny for a 6'5" guy, and his wingspan of 6'8 implies longer arms.

I've read that many NFL teams strongly prefer 34" arms or greater, and some won't even evaluate offensive tackles with shorter than 33" arms.

So? What is that measurement actually measuring?

Oh no T-Rex arms happen to be one of the few things that the proper dedication to S&C can't impact.

Other than making them really swole short arms.

How Is Arm Length Measured in the NFL?

Arm length is measured from the end of the bicep or shoulder blade to the tip of the middle finger with the arm extended. The average arm length for a male is around 30 inches.

The average OT at the 2023 combine had 34.0” arms.

Pickard is good here. If he ends up at OG or C, he is really good.

Not sure what SU plans to do with him. He played OG in the film I watched but I have seen he listed as capable of playing all 3.

Looks like it's clear he's a winter enrollee in Jan 2026. You try him at all three spots, find the best one and then stick with that for his redshirt year.
