Former University of Washington offensive lineman Taylor Hindy is now at Syracuse. Transferred in the summer. He will wear No. 79.

2013: Saw his first game action vs. Idaho State ... also played in the win over Colorado.
2012: Redshirted his true freshman season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played offensive and defensive line and also handled the long snapping for the Eagles ... named Mission League Co-Most Valuable Lineman as a senior in 2011 ... helped lead the Eagles to a 10-3 record as a senior ... advanced to the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section Western Division playoffs ... played in the L.A. Daily News All-Star game following senior season ... named first-team All-Mission League in 2010 ... as a junior, helped Chaminade to an 11-2 overall record and a trip to the section semifinals ... named second-team All-Mission League as a sophomore ... played for coach Ed Croson.

Was lightly recruited...but SU must have had a connection to get him. A SoCal kid.

It looks like he was a last minute Plan B guy to UW after some higher rated recruits bailed on them.

Here are the Sr. HS highlights for Rony Andre-Charles but they are from 2011. Must have been in JUCO somewhere.

Not counting Nassib and Cleveland ... Had KJ qualified we would have been at 85.

Minus KJ gets us to 84.

Minus Krautman (who should be transferred off the football books due to his injury) gets us to 83.

Glad to see the staff is leaving no rocks unturned. Will be interesting to see if this ends up being a late find, a la Chris Clark or Zian Jones.

The three new players including Washington OL transfer Taylor Hindy are all walk-ons. Hindy's eligibility for this season is unconfirmed.

One last tidbit: new walk-on DT Rony-Andre Charles has two years of eligibility left. Was listed (academically) as a senior on the roster.
