Olbermann Takes on Penn State

Some guys never get it. Olbermann is one of them.

As much as I despise Penn State, and think that they're close to being a cult, the students raise something like $13 mill for pediatric cancer, and Olbermann goes off.

His anger issues have anger issues.

I don't think he clicked on the link and was just responding to the we are part. And he's right.

It's fantastic what they did for cancer research..that goes without question. It always is accurate to say that they are still freaking pathetic. Joe Pa im sure helped alot of young men throughout his career...and he also turned a blind eye to plenty of young men who were being raped right in front of him. You can't correct a huge wrong with 1 right.

Olbermann came off terrible. I think it was obvious that he didn't click the link, and when he realized it was about raising $13M for pediatric cancer, he just resorted to trying to act smart by telling the guy he was dumb. People on this board do that all the time when they're defeated. It's just a common defense mechanism for people like him. Calling him a moron was an unexpected move of desperation. He was channeling his inner George McDonald at that point.

Raising that money is a great thing, tying it together with all the terrible things that happened at Penn State is unfortunate. Let the two be separate.

He's one of the worst individuals on the planet.
Ridiculous. I am not a fan but I guy who is a jerk is no where near the worst individuals on the planet. Heck, he is no where near the worst guy on any street he is on. His problem is he can't get along with anyone. Sounds like someone who once coached here.

I like Olbermann's politics. He can be funny and spot-on.

He's not 'one of the worst' people on the planet. But he's his own worst enemy. He keeps getting gigs b/c he's good, he keeps losing them b/c he blows himself up real good (SCTV reference).

The presumption of that ahole to judge random people on a daily basis as the " worst person ..."

' that arrogant .

PSU students use Thon as a shield to forgive Paterno for his depraved indifference. Olbermann was right.

I feel like the "we are" thing should be left in their shady past since any non penn stater will now follow it up with any number of off color comments like Olbermann did here. They fact that Penn State folks won't let it go speaks to the fact that many don't have an issue with their past and many still think their team was the real victim in everything.

I'll wait and see what Fox no-spin O'really has to say before I decide on whether this was a terrible thing that Keith did? Lol

I think hes great and agree with him 90% of the time.
I am with you...he says things that most people would love to say on a large stage but don't have a large stage to say it from. We need more people like him honestly.

How many times has this been suspended or fired?

He could be permanently removed and nobody would notice.

Bill-O has his own issues these days. Multiple stories coming out about him lying about so called "news stories" he claimed he was at when he was never there. Latest one today broke. http://money.cnn.com/2015/02/25/media/bill-oreilly-jfk-george-de-mohrenschildt/

John Stewart came to Bill-O's defense though. Saying nobody tunes into him looking for the truth so who cares!
