Old School Channel 56 in DC

Anyone watch these games before CBS and ESPN cornered the market. Really fascinating how cheap they received the rights.

Yes! Station just down the street from me. Not many Cuse games though that I recall, lots of SEC, relying on the fact that most people here aren't FROM here. The constant fundraising during every commercial break made you reach for the mute button. But they were a player, every night. By the time the NCAAs rolled around you felt like you knew all the high seeds because you'd seen them on the big 56. LOL

Yeah the article said the ACC/Big East had their own syndicated deals...but Channel 56 sounds like ESPNU on steroids.
