All of Ole Miss’ players are eligible to transfer without penalty because of the NCAA sanctions. Wonder if there's anyone we'd take a swipe at. Their QB is visiting Michigan.

What to know about Ole Miss' transfer situation

Here's a list of who has made their intentions to transfer known so far, and who has been granted permission to contact with other universities.
  • Safety Deontay Anderson
  • Cornerback Jalen Julius
  • Linebacker Jerrion Street
  • Wide receiver Tre Nixon
  • Quarterback Shea Patterson
  • Wide receiver Van Jefferson

Julius and Nixon are promising and from Florida. Jefferson (Brentwood, TN) has 1,000 yards in 2 seasons.

BTW, it says that Julius wants to become an ESPN sportscaster (if there still is an ESPN). Hell-o-o-o, Newhouse.

@TomVH - 23h
I was told Harbaugh is meeting with Shea Patterson right now. Of note with Shea, his parents were Michigan fans, his grandpa played for the Detroit Pistons and Shea was at one point committed to Arizona in HS, recruited by Matt Dudek, who is now at Michigan.

Apparently all three are supposed to be joining Michigan pending NCAA approval. Incredible. Peters, McCaffrey and the two QB commits can't be happy. Maybe Dino should call up Kevin Doyle and see if he is waivering.

can't hurt to contact Doyle, but Patterson could leave after next year if he is good enough, so Doyle wouldn't be waiting too long. Either way, definitely talk to Doyle.

Maybe take a run at that DEvof theirs. You know, Sheppard. Maybe we could scoop him up. ;)

How funny would that be? I mean, Dino seems like the type that gives second chances...who knows?
