Where would UVA rank should they win today?

Worse than Miami last year for sure, can't think of any others as egregious as this would be.

Miami was great next year.

If Virginia beats us, that's pretty impressive so it's not a total crap schedule.

There's a reason the ACC doesn't recognize regular season titles - as the last two years have shown they are meaningless.

More worried that Cuse has about ten day to right the ship, the team has steadily regressed since Duke Round 1. Couldn't really care about ACC tourney, Buffalo, MSG, seeding - just gotta find a way to get into the NCAA tourney with a little positive momentum.

Congrats to Virginia. They are a good team and earned the ACC title.

We slipped to BC, Duke slipped to ND and Clemson, and Virginia just put down all challengers (and for the most part more efficiently than us). Even if schedule was balances, they probably have the best record in the ACC.

There are some good teams in this league, so Virginia should be proud.

We lost to BC. We created as much if this mess as anyone else.

Given that they rocked us at home, and took Duke to the wire at Cameron, I don't think they would've exactly fallen apart if they had to play Cuse and Duke twice each.

What does disrespecting UVA accomplish? They had a great season and are very deserving of their regular season title.

Virginia is the champs. congrats. But if you don't think not playing any of the top 7 twice was a huge advantage then you don't know basketball. And of the the top 3 besides them, they played 2 at home and one of those without their 2nd leading scorer (Grant). The scheduling stars aligned for UVA. We'll see what they are made of in the tourney when the schedule cant help them

All that did was give them the outright title. They would still have been the 1 seed in the acct

How are any regular season titles egregious? Whatever team has the most Ws at the end of the regular season gets it. Losers whine about things like SOS and who the "better team" is.

Of course it was an advantage.

But as big an advantage for Virginia was not losing a game to BC, Clemson, Notre Dame, Wake or Miami. Things that each of the teams that are currently 12-4 or 13-3 have done.

The schedule helps them, but they will also probably win the conference by at least 2 full games. Even if they had played Duke and UNC twice, and lost both those games (unlikely), by beating us in the head to head they would still be champions.

If anybody here actually watched the UVA game that took place less than an hour ago and came away thinking UVa wasn't the best team we've played all year, I don't know What you are smoking. They dominated us in every aspect of the game today. It wasn't a fluke either. They've been dominating almost everyone over the past 2 months. If their jersey said "Duke" or "UNC" nobody would be doubting them. They are a Final Four caliber team.

Why did the BE recognize a regular season winner since the schedules were similarly unbalanced?

Or if they would have had to play at UNC and at Syracuse, we might have tied. Congrats to them. They won. But the schedule helped

Just saw a shot of UVA busting out the ladders and cutting down the nets. C'mon...

No. They played us without Grant. Did you see how bad we looked in the 2nd half against a putrid Maryland team without Grant? We're a bad team without him. If Duke or UNC played us without Grant, they would do they same thing to us that UVA just did.

Not only were we shorthanded today without a healthy Grant, Keita's clearly not 100% and we also lost Ennis for a stretch in the 2nd half due to some questionable charge calls (do the charge/block calls ever go our way?)
